Impacts: Indicators: implementations

Moving to the city? Or is the city moving in on you?

The world’s urban population increases by 180.000 persons every day. In the course of a week, that amounts to a city the size of Copenhagen. A century ago only 10% of the world’s population was urban and at that time Copenhagen was among a modest handful of
cities over a million. Today, hundreds of cities are the size of Copenhagen and 51% of the world’s population inhabits cities!

Impacts

As our urban numbers increase, so do the questions: What are the
impacts? On the cityscape, on the countryside, on the built environment,
on where we work, where you live, and where Peter plays?

Indicators

What are the indicators? Recent findings, current trends! Hard
facts, future figures! What is the measure of urban quality, of adequate
housing? What are current construction rates? What are the
forecasts for 2030?

Implementations

What implementations are being made? What is being done to
tackle rising urbanization? What policies, plans, and programs are
being enacted? Who is doing it, and how are things getting done?

Come and hear what our speakers have to say!
